Concession and contrast linkers card games
Deal out all the cards and do the activity or activity that your teacher tells you to:
- Try to make a sentence that your partners all agree with
- Make half an incomplete statement including one of the linkers and see if someone else can complete it in a way which everyone can agree with
- Put down two of your cards and explain the similarities and differences between those terms, with example sentences if you can. The other people will ask for more details and/ or try to add something to what you said.
- Put down the two of your cards which you think are most similar, explain why you think they are very similar and any small differences between them, and see if your partners have any questions and/ or can add anything to what you said.
