Here's my go at finding an example:
"I was really taken aback by this question." You could try turning this into an active "This question really took me aback", theoretically possible, but people don't generally use "to take aback" in the active - it sounds ugly.
The lovers were lost in each other's eyes. (no, this is not Kafka)
"I was born".
(There you have it!)
My mother bore me.
(We don't have it there.)
