Officer: Empty your pockets.
The man puts his hands down and turns his pockets inside out. They're empty. But the officer still doesn't look convinced. The man then takes off his jacket and throws it to him.
I wrote this. Is the position of 'then' natural here? I don't know why I think it sounds better to put it after 'the man' than before it here, but I do. What do you think?
