My grade 3 student reached out to me regarding her confusion about adverbs and verbs in a passage.
I guided and helped her but this particular sentence is confusing me
They look like a strange mix of a beaver and a duck! They waddle when walking on land but when they are under water they swim gracefully
walking is a verb here but am I right in considering waddle as an adverb? or it's also a verb in this sentence?
