Before we continue, let me set a premise that may or may not be right: Let’s assume the AI field is, indeed, advancing as fast as we perceive it to be.
It could be a case of “looks are deceiving” — the amount of published papers doesn’t necessarily correlate with meaningful progress. I don’t care much about that in the first section. I focus on the sensation, not on the underlying reality.
