dance my feet off > dance a lot
run my legs off > run a lot
cry my eyes out > cry a lot
laugh my head off > laugh a lot

These idioms start with a verb, then there's a part of someone's body, and then there's a preposition.

You can dance the night away.

(A couple of those are new to me )

"Head off" pairs with almost any verb to indicate that its action was done to one's complete satisfaction, or to excess. You can:

sing, eat, curse, swear, laugh etc etc etc your head off.

Is there a list of all the verbs that would work with head off?

Also, I couldn't find 'eat one's head off' in any dictionary.

I have to admit that "eat one's head off" doesn't work for me. Even if it did, I wouldn't expect to find it in a standard dictionary. Were you looking in a dictionary of idioms?

I doubt there's an exhaustive list of verbs that work with "one's head off".

Here's another example though: work one's arse/butt off.
