Huh? Neither, right? They both have the opposite meaning if anything.

Neither in that use, but depends on context. From Google:
: a critical moment or period (as near the end of a game) when decisive action is needed.

I wouldn't choose either one. To me "It's crunch time" means it's time to make a decision which can't be put off until later.

That reminder comes up for everyone. It's to make sure that users don't think that this is a section in which they can ask questions about idioms. It's a reference section in which admins/moderators post idioms and their meanings, or (like this thread), a quiz question about an idiom.

My bad- I was trying to see what the software was like for a poll late at night and chucked something in. Sorry.
