Could you please correct my grammar here? Because I'm still confused about "is" and "was" in this context.

So, there was a book has been written 2 years ago and I want to say to someone that
"This book was like a story in a story, so there were 2 stories.
One of them is written by him, and the other one is written by her in his story."

Is it correct or not?

NOT a teacher.

Nice to meet you. I am confused about the sentence in red colour. The main clause is 'there was a book', and 'was' is past simple. However, the subordinate clause is 'which has been written two years ago', and 'has been' is present perfect. These two just are contradictory. I'd like to write this: there is a book written two years ago.:-D

Who is "him and who is "her"?
I would write: The book is about a story within a story..
 
I don't even know who they are. LOL. But they're like a man and a woman.
Thank you, you've reminded me of what I always hear from people on YouTube.
