Hi there!
What's the meaning of 'Cue the confetti'?
I know the meaning of confetti but honestly, I don't understand the whole of that sentence.
I saw it in festivals events, birthday parties and premiere of auto shows.

Would you say people tend to use confetti to celebrate?

In what context did you encounter the sentence?

It sounds like the end of a wedding, when people throw confetti.

In what context did you encounter the sentence?

I saw it on some Birthday Cards and also in one of the Instagram pages.
That post was related to introduce a new generation of a car and this sentence was written in its caption.
That context was "You heard it here first, this car starts at ....$. Cue the confetti".

Do you understand what "cue" means in this context?

I have no idea if this will help too, but this is what Google Translate says it means in Persian: ریشه کنگو!

Oh my God!
Sorry but the Google translate doesn't work as well!
I mean not all of them but almost they are wrong. Just like your phrase "ریشه کنگو" it means the root of Kongo!
It doesn't mean at all in Persian. Kongo is an African country and you can see that the root of kongo makes no sense.
I looked up the word 'cue' on dictionary and I did mean I can't find the suitable meaning of that word.
Thank you for your directing so which one of those definitions is proper for this sentence?
I asked that because this word has several meaning and I personally guess the first one is the best choice for my case. I'm not sure, though.
Cue the confetti means to give a prompt or reminder of confetti, right?
Sorry to bother you any way.

No need to apologize. You're on the right track, but this is an expression whose meaning is not at all obvious. It comes from the theater world, where Cue (the) xxx means "Begin xxx". In the context you cited, "Cue the confetti" means something like "Imagine confetti falling around you to celebrate."
