Lesson Plan Content:
Longer advice phrases card games
Instructions for teachers
Cut up one pack of cards per group of three or four students, dividing off the bold words in the middle. Students try to match the beginnings and ends to make basic phrases, then try to add the middle words to extend and check their answers.
Give out un-cut-up copies for students to check their answers with, then they can test each other in pairs by saying parts of the sentences and eliciting the missing parts.
Students can then play a communication game by dealing out the cards and using as many of them as they can as they ask for and give advice.
