Two fun personalised speaking coin games to practise first letter phonics and like/ don't like, including with third person -s.

Like and don’t like alphabet coin game
Choose a letter of the alphabet, for example by picking a letter out of a bag of magnetic letters or by using the alphabet prompts below. Try to make a true “You like…” or “You don’t like…” sentence about your partner using a noun or verb starting with that letter. You get one point if what you say is true. Change roles and do the same. Continue switching roles, choosing letters and making true statements until your teacher stops the game.

Alphabet prompts (optional)
Ask your partner to choose a number between 1 and 26 without looking below. They must make a sentence using a noun (n) or verb (v) starting with the letter next to that number.

Do the same, but this time tossing a coin to see if you must make a true “You like…” sentence (heads) or if you must make a true “You don’t like…” sentence (tails).
Do the same, but also flipping the coin to see if you must make a true “You…” sentence (heads) or a “Your brother/ Your sister/ Your mother/ Your pet/ Your…” sentence (tails).
