What is the correct sentance?
The company have 200 employees.
The company has 200 employess.

It depends. American speakers tend to use the singular with collective nouns, but British English speakers often use the plural, though the singular is also OK. I will leave it to the speakers of other variants to state their position.

I'd say that American English speakers always use the singular in this case.

Yes, I've corrected my post. I'd say the few instances Google finds of the plural are cases where the subject is not the company. For example, employees of the company have voted to strike.

It is an example where many BrE speakers would use the singular, but as a general rule we do often use the plural.
