Dr Melissa H. Yu’s PhD research explores English language teaching and acquisition, English as a Lingua Franca, International/intercultural communication, curriculum and material development, teacher education and ethnographic classroom discourse. She is a member of postgraduate researcher at the Centre for Global Englishes, University of Southampton, the British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL) and the Englishes in Practice editorial board. Her professional experience includes EFL teaching and teacher/research training in the UK, academic publications and online teaching and learning material development.
