I wrote this paragraph.
"The eastern section was changed entirely: a hotel and golf course occupied the former site of the cafe and park, the theatre and shops were turned into a cinema and a large supermarket respectively, and the houses were converted into blocks of flats. Lastly, flats were erected along the northernmost side of the high street."
1) Is my use of "respectively" correct and acceptable?
2) Is it correct and grammatical to say "something was erected/built along the northernmost side of"?
3) Did I use that colon ) grammatically and in an acceptable way?
