Again, lots of good points made here. Let's standardise the format a little so it is easier. For example:
'a' - went is X and the others are past participles.
'b' - some is a quantifier and the others are X.
Follow this structure for the other examples and think about whether the other words in 'c' are in fact all prepositions and whether 'cough' in 'd' is an adjective.
