Please suggest some books to improve my skills in "general-essay writing.

Please suggest some books that help improving "general-essay writing" of graduate level.

It's not new, but I enjoyed teaching academic writing with Sam McCarter's A Book on Writing ​when I was working in universities, and it is a no-nonsense guide to writing.

I searched it up, but didn't find the book. Nor is it available on online book stores. Could you please provide the link of the book?

A simple search brings up many copies for me.

Note my corrections above. We don't "search up" something, we "search for" something. I hope you're not expecting anyone to provide a link to an online PDF copy of an entire book - that's illegal.

There are plenty of copies available to buy on Amazon.

For a free, online writing resource, nothing beats the OWL at Purdue, in my opinion.
