i like to see the answer to my book.
'alibi' is a noun.
It can definitely be used as a verb. The definition of the verb form is 'to give an excuse; offer a defense.' For example, "to alibi for being late."

"Who would alibi for that guy? "
I saw this sentence in newspaper, so I think it can be used as a verb.

It's in some dictionaries, but I've never come across is being used.
