It's not too hard, but I don't know why have someone select awrong votes
Both are fine, but contexually different. To me, "something to eat" implies a generous host, "to eat something" expresses concern, i.e. if one feels the other person realy *should* eat something.

I'd use 'something to eat' if I was cooking and 'to eat something' if I was suggesting going out.
